ACI EUROPE is the European trade body for airports and as such, is also the European region of Airports Council International, the only global federation of airport operators. ACI EUROPE is based in Brussels, Belgium and represent over 500 airports in 45 European countries. The membership is comprised of airport operators of all sizes, along with national airport associations, educational establishments and world business partners.

Long airport queues could soon be a thing of the past

Getting to the airport without delay, choosing the fastest-moving queue at security and taking the quickest route to your gate may soon be par for the course for airline travellers thanks to technology that uses personalised data and crowd simulations to streamline people’s journeys from their home to the gate.

Europe currently lags behind the US when it comes to the number of start-up companies valued at more than USD 1 billion, known as unicorns.

As part of a move to stimulate funding for innovative companies, the EU has earmarked EUR 3 billion under its Horizon 2020 research funding programme for high-tech small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the EU or associated countries.

AERFOR – AN EU PROJECT FOR AVIATION BY AMORPH SYSTEMS

Amorph Systems is delighted to announce the start of their EU-funded project “AERFOR” at 1st of November 2016 which is granted within Horizon 2020 SME Instrument phase 2.  Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU programme for research & innovation with 80 billion Euro spent between 2014 – 2020. This flagship programme of the EU aims to bring innovative ideas from lab to market to ensure global competiveness. Especially through a dedicated SME instrument, Horizon 2020 funds high-potential innovation, which offers seamless business innovation support under the section Societal Challenges and the specific part Leadership in Enabling and Industrial Technologies (LEITs).
